An active member of the Sydney Hills Business Chamber, Mission Australia Employment Solutions Castle Hill participates and supports regular events hosted by the local Business Chamber.
According to Business Manager Shirley Jiang, the function provided an opportunity for Mission Australia to promote its employment services, and cost effective way for local businesses to employ and train staff.
The staff from Castle Hill and Chatswood were friendly and entertaining, and provided employers with information on the support services they could provide, leaving visitors with a positive impression.
"After the food and drinks were served, our staff surprised the guests by stating that the food and beverages were served by our active job seekers", Shirley said. "This highlighted their skills and capabilities for handling a large crowd".
"The guests were thrilled with the service provided to them and a few employers were keen to find out more."
The event also showcased a 'job seeker wall' which was filled with job seeker profiles from a range of different industries. The wall allowed employers to look for candidates that met their future staffing criteria.
Shirley stated that the function was extremely successful, and with some business owners immediately raising some job vacancies with us.
Many thanks to the Sydney Hills Business Chamber for helping host the event and Hillside Hotel for the Catering.
